"You are the light of the world." (Matthew 5:14)
By trying to insulate ourselves against the evils of this world, we have isolated ourselves from its problems. We are out of touch! One out of every 15 Americans is an alcoholic. One in two households is a single-parent family. Children are now sexually active at 12 years of age. People are frightened because this is the most violent generation in history. The question is, what are we going to do about it? In the story of the good Samaritan, Jesus described this generation perfectly: stripped, wounded, and left to die. He said that religion passed by on the other side. This is how the world still sees us, we're on one side and they're on the other. We are answering questions they're not even asking. They aren't looking for another religion, they're looking for a relationship that satisfies. All they need is to meet Jesus, and I promise it will be love at first sight. He's still the answer! Child of God, Stop isolating, and take the message to the marketplace, and tell them about Jesus. Today would be a great time to start. |  |  | |
