Quiet, Cold and Alone

Quiet, Cold and Alone

The home I grew up in
Now sits quiet, cold and alone

It once was filled with our families laughter and tears
But now it sits quiet, cold and alone

I had my fill of dreams and fun
Playing in the woods with my duckies, chicks, bunnies, kitties and horse
Now my home sits quiet, cold and alone

On the swing, we'd play for hours
Trying to touch the clouds with our feet
The old swing is now gone and now our home sits quiet, cold and alone

In the woods, I'd play for days, reading my books, sailing away
Now the woods sit quiet, cold and alone

Touching those ivory keys, I'd play music for hours it seemed
But now the piano sits quiet, cold and alone

I wonder sometimes what dreams and secrets that old home still has
Even though now it sits quiet, cold and alone

I Remember a home filled with Love and Laughter, Grace and Joy, Peace and Faith
But now it sits quiet, cold and alone

Sometimes I sit quiet, cold and alone, until I reflect on the Salvation that Jesus has given me and I am Happy, even though I've lost much, He still fills me with His Love and Laughter, Grace and Joy, Peace and Faith
These things last forever, they are very real, and what GOD given me is more valuable than anything!
